Offline mode
The Kayñiawlu mobile app works even without internet. It is built for the field: weak coverage areas, empty data plan, travel.
What works offline
- Browsing your already-synced customers, measurement sheets and orders.
- Creating a customer, a measurement sheet, an order.
- Editing existing data and changing statuses.
Your entries are saved on the phone and placed in a queue.
Synchronization
As soon as the connection is back (Wi-Fi or mobile data):
- the app automatically sends your pending entries;
- it fetches what other team members added;
- an indicator shows the sync status.
You have nothing to do — just let the app open for a few moments with network access.
Best practices
- Open the app when you have network (morning, evening) to stay up to date, especially if several people work on the same orders.
- Do not uninstall the app if you still have unsynced entries: they would be lost. When in doubt, connect to Wi-Fi and let the sync finish.
- The first sign-in on a new phone requires internet (to authenticate and load your data).
Frequently asked questions
Two people edit the same order offline — what happens? The last synced change wins. For status changes, the order timeline keeps a trace of every step.
Is my data safe if I lose my phone? Everything synced is on Kayñiawlu servers: sign in from another device and you get your workshop back.
